FAA Part 107 Prep Class January 24-25, 2026
Spend 2 days learning with a professional airline and drone pilot who is also flight instructor and a drone business owner, and by the end of the class will equipped with the necessary knowledge to practice, take, and pass the FAA Part 107 Exam to earn your commercial drone pilot certification.
Drones, or Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS), have many applications in the following business sectors: photography, film & TV, marketing and advertising, agriculture, architecture and construction, conservation, delivery, emergency services, engineering, environmental monitoring, and homeland security. If you intend to operate drones commercially (for pay, for your business or your workplace), you are required to obtain the FAA Part 107 Certificate. This 2-day in-person prep course will prepare all participants to take and pass the FAA Part 107 Certification exam. The cost of the exam is not included in the course fee. The class is scheduled over the weekend so it can accommodate anyone looking to transition to a new career or pursue drones as a side-gig.

Principles of Flight, Weather, Reading Aviation Weather Reports and Weather Sources, Airspace Classification, Reading Aviation Maps, Airport Operations, Traffic patterns, signs and markings, and radio communications, Weight and Balance, Pre-flight procedures, UAS Operations, Specifications, Limitations, Maintenance, and Reporting; Operational Waivers and Airspace Authorizations, Human Factors and Decision-Making, FAA Part 107 Pilot Certification and Registration Requirements, Drone Regulation Changes and Practice Exams, Third-Party Software/Apps, Access to Covered Materials and Additional Resources.
Format: 2-Day Group Course (8:30 am - 4:30 pm), with 1 hour for lunch (lunch not included)
