Complete both V1DroneMedia training programs in four-days: FAA Part 107 Exam Preparation followed by Hands-On Drone Flight Operations Training.
The first two days build the regulatory and aviation knowledge needed to prepare first responders for the FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot exam, including airspace, sectional charts, weather, regulations, airport operations, flight planning, human factors, waivers and authorizations, and current Part 107 requirements. Part 107 study materials, practice exams, and access to the V1DroneMedia Part 107 Practice Test System are included.
The next two days focus on practical, mission-oriented flight skills for fire, rescue, and public safety operations, including pre-flight procedures, flight maneuvers, emergency procedures, mission planning, search patterns, thermal imaging, situational awareness, wildland fire reconnaissance, damage assessment, and NIST precision flying exercises.
Equipment Requirement: Participants should bring the drone equipment they intend to train with for the hands-on portion, including aircraft, controller, and sufficient charged batteries.
